She's my niece. So last weekend sempat laa nak assess her gross developmental progress. =))
So far for her gross motor:
Icha no longer has head lag when pull to sit.
Instead she lifts her head with full anticipation.
She sits with her back straight, on and off hand off the couch.
She bears full weight on legs when stands with support.
Boleh rolls from supine to prone n prone to supine.
n yesh, the comando crawl! laju gile nak amik her toys.
As for her vision & fine motor:
She's able to reach out her hands for objects.
Transfer toys n stuff from one hand to another.
Dah takde squint juge.
Also able to feed herself wif biscuits dia yg tawar
n slalu buat muka tak puas hati nak makan juge ape org lain makan.
Inferior pincer grasp belom develop lg..
Bercakap?
Still babbling in single syllables.
Kengkadang i heard she said something like 'icha'. hehe
N also immitates the single syllable babbling yg kita buat.
Cute!
Socially,
beautiful social smile.
Responds when calls her name.
be it alisha, cicha, isha, icha, alisha afiqah.
N yesh, ade stranger anxiety too.
(kesian you be able to held icha kejap je the other day..)
makanya, her developmental progress is appropriate for age.
She 7 months old now.
Below was the conversation between me n abul after he fetch me from airport n hantar me balik the other night. While having our late dinner sambil tgk icha main with her blue whale soft toy ngan atuk n uwa..
you: hmmm.... you, nak satu.. (with a cheeky fishy smile while looking at icha main)
me: what? that fish?? okey nnt ill look one for you. (i answer back ngan innocent nye.. then sambung makan..)
you: *dgn muke with the expression:~ ish dia nie.. fish pulak...*
me: *hehehehehe... how on earth cud i think he wanted a fish...*

owh btw, i guess some small portion of ppl dont. sbb one of the gynae doctor in the fertility clinic ckp, there's this one couple who has been married for many years n yet not able to conceive. then on further questioning, the doctor found out that they are not doing it right. (you know what it mean kan? ;))
