~ grey's anatomy!! my latest fave... n my new way of studying. but i just get a little bit annoyed if perasan some stuff yg mcm not quite rite in the settings.. mcm when they're not wearing the stethoscope correctly or when the operating lites were too far and not directed to the appropriate spot. hahaha.. its just me being me. but anyhow, its a good show.

oh my! a movie star??!! ;D

Movie Star

How You Approach Life
You, Movie Star, are caring and optimistic, and you know how to do the right thing as you glide through life. You have an uncanny ability to read people, and the situations around you. That makes it all the easier for you to observe your environment, and make promises that you will be able to keep.

Keeping peoples' trust is paramount for someone like you. It's the foundation for getting a leg up on social circles, work circles and even family circles. You know that others can count on you, which adds to the confidence you have in yourself. You know you won't let people down unnecessarily. You are sure of yourself, and you project an unusually positive self-image to others, which will lead to your successes in life.

Your idea of success is a bit more tangible than some people's. For you, success is something you can see — whether embedded in someone's personality, or as reflected by their image. For that reason, there are times you might feel compelled to use material possessions as just one way of explaining to people who you are. To some degree, your taste, your ideals and your opinions can be understood in what you choose to surround yourself and your home with. ~ hahaha... ya rite..!

Though amassing nice things might be important to you, so is succeeding in a socially conscious way. You're a bright ray of sunshine in a sometimes doubtful world. You're friendly, charming(owh..! hihi ) , and great with people. You have a high level of tolerance which adds to your ability to handle stressful situations and your overall worldly-wisdom. You rarely shy away from asserting your ideas and opinions, and you encourage others to do the same.

So what are you waiting for Movie Star? Get out there and take the world by storm! (yeah!! world, here i come!! hahhaha)

Take Action
Your areas of greatest vulnerability
You are driven to do a good job and take pride in your responsibilities. This brings you lots of satisfaction — not to mention the admiration of others. But do you ever find that you push yourself too hard? With so much confidence and such a strong sense of self, you may find yourself determined to finish a task so you don't let others down. The problem comes in when you feel responsible for situations that may be out of your control. This happens to everyone, but for you, this has a different kind of impact. Be your best: It may help to remember that it's okay to let others down once in a while, to let things go sometimes. You needn't worry that this will become a pattern for you, or that you'll lose your values or sense of pride. Your core competence and responsibility are very deep, solid qualities that you can trust. And knowing this can help you begin to give yourself a break occasionally.

Section II — What makes you a Movie Star?

Movie StarYour personality is actually determined by two personality sub-types — your primary, or dominant sub-type, and your secondary sub-type.

In your case, Movie Star, your two sub-types are Golden and Success. Your primary sub-type is defined by "Golden" characteristics and your secondary sub-type is defined by "Success" characteristics.

Your primary type is Golden
Like other people with Golden characteristics, you have relatively high self-esteem and are very conscientious. You tend to be someone others rely on since you're responsible, dependable, and dutiful. You are also probably pretty efficient — you hate to waste time(i think so too... but why am i wasting my time on this..? ;p). You like to go about life with a positive attitude — both about yourself and the world around you.

You're known intellectually as a careful, deliberating thinker. In terms of entertainment, you gravitate toward media that is romantic, happy, and inspiring — avoiding the more dark, edgy or sad subjects. Lastly, you probably have interests in a wide variety of things including cooking *yeah.., eating out, nutrition, travel, sports, recreation, fitness, health and traditional religion.

Deep Down
You are the rare being who wants nothing more than to have a positive effect on the world. Not only are you are driven to make the world smooth and efficient so that everyone can live in harmony, but you actively look for ways you can make this dream a reality. Occasionally, this dream can manifest out a fear that if you don't take care of the problems of the world, nobody will. You may have a lack of faith that things will not be okay unless you intervene.

Your secondary type is Success
People with Success characteristics are generally driven by achievement and recognition of their talents. They are motivated to work hard to have nice things. They also feel to some degree that their possessions reflect their hard work which is something to be proud of. They are compelled to excellence by a number of factors and theyLink strive to climb whatever ladders come their way — whether corporate or social. To succeed and make a good impression on others, these Success people are focused on the external appearance of how they look. They sometimes see it as an indicator of their internal value.

Intellectually, Success people are goal-driven. They tend to focus on the end results more than the process that gets them through an issue. In terms of entertainment, Successes enjoy media that is sensual, sexy, flashy and loud. They tend to avoid media that is too introspective or sentimental. They like to shop for anything from clothes to cars. They enjoy reading magazines and are usually interested in their physical and mental health.

some quOtation by Helen Keller

"When one door of happiness closes, another opens;
but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one that has been opened for us..."
~ yup... kinda true... maybe we just need just a little bit more time for a long last look at it before we could enter the other door n leave the closed one behind. it is never an easy thing to do...

after 6 weeks....

pejam celik pejam celik, it has been 6ix weeks now..
n dah start easter break pulak..
so, just thinking of doing some 6-weeks'-reflections on my new phase of life as a student doc..

after all, ive learnt a lot tho there's many more to catch up wif..

ive shadowed an intern... being exposed to basically wut ill be doing in a few years time..

ive made round wif another 2classmates in the dialysis wards..being explained on how do those machines works.. seing how they set up the central line.. seing the AV fistulas.. talk wif the patients, on how much their life has changed after being diagnosed as having a renal failure and having to come to the hospital a few times a week now and then to 'clean-up' their kidney...

ive been to the cath lab... seing how the cardiologist do the angiogram and angioplasty for patients whose coronary artery (the blood vessels that supply our heart with oxygen n nutrients) was blocked and thus need to be cleared up. n being shocked myself when the patient suddenly talk by the end of the procedure then only i know that the patient was not asleep during the whole procedure..

ive attended the scrubbing class. felt like a surgeon for awhile.. tp tak masuk theatre laa...

ive been tought how to wash my hand appropriately especially after having a direct contact with a patient or touch a specimen in the microb lab.. ~ haihh... nak basuh tangan pon nak kene ajar... but this IS important.. sbb if u didnt adhere to it, u might be responsible in passing on the germs n bacteria to others.. n be guilty as charged! ;)

ive managed to take blood pressure.. tho im not yet satisfied.. n need more practice!

ive learnt the correct way to listen to heart sound... n perform the manuever if i heard a murmur..

ive seen and felt a pulsating abdominal aneurysm. ive listen to renal bruits.

ive learned quite a hand-full types of diseases of the heart and the respiratory system.. be it infectious or non-infectios, congenital (u have it since u'r born) or acquired, acute (having it suddenly) or chronic (developes over a period of time), primary or secondary dz and many2 more.. but yet to be studied and revised! *sigh...

ive become aware that the patients might not necessarily understand every-single-words that u said.. n u might not be able to absorb or understand them too.. so, we need to make sure that both party understand each other.. never to use too much of medical terms.. n do ask wut the patient meant when they do use some medical terms.. * another sigh...

ive attend a symposium held by IMAM (Islamic Medical Association Malaysia) n be inspired by the speakers. i think i like dr ismail merican, the MOH minister.. he's got the vision, he work for it, he inspires others n have a great sense of humour too! hihi... n now ive started to think about which way to choose to do the speciality n perhaps subspeciality... tho its still far ahead, its worth to be thought about.

n ive also got the sweetest smile. the kind that ive not seen for quite sometime *hahahhaa

but anyway, i still hope that during this break, i could pull everything together including myself, n get more organised n plan my study! exam in a few weeks time!! *one more sigh...

wakie wakie mazlinda!!
