"Allah said, No .. ." and "What if ..." ??

~ hmm... got this email n thinking of sharing it wif u guys.. its just a reminder for me n u so that we wont simply quoting this n that n saying that Allah says it. ~

Assalaamu `Alaykum wa Rahmatullaahi wa Barakaatuhu

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Islam,

These two (2) articles were recently transmitted one of which,
quotes Allaah as having said "No" -  however, without supporting
daleel.

I asked Allah to take away my habit.
Allah said, No.
It is not for me to take away, but for you to give it up.

I asked Allah to make my handicapped child whole.
Allah said, No.
His spirit is whole, his body is only temporary

I asked Allah to grant me patience.
Allah said, No.
Patience is a byproduct of tribulations;
it isn't granted, it is learned.

I asked Allah to give me happiness.
Allah said, No.
I give you blessings; Happiness is up to you.
In the first article, the passages above were from Christian
websites (see below) and sent by well-meaning Muslims who changed
the name "God" to "Allaah."

websites questioning "What if" Allaah Subhaanahu wa Ta`aala takes
away His blessings, guidance and "What if, Allaah took away the

Muslim must not think, say, question or write such things when
Allaah Subhaanahu wa Ta`aala has promised to preserve His Book as He
Ta`aala tells us (the interpretation of the meaning):

"We have, without doubt, sent down the Message (the Qur'aan); and We
will assuredly guard it (from corruption)." (al-Hijr 15:9)

This repudiates the Command to trust and rely on Allaah Subhaanahu
wa Ta`aala as stated in the Qur`aan (interpretation of the meaning):

" ... And upon Allaah rely, if you should be believers"  (Al-
Maa'idah 5:23)

"... And whoever relies on Allaah - then He is sufficient for him."
(At-Talaaq 65:3)

Not only are the sources Christian, but they are also concocted
stories, terrible lies. We must avoid lies and concoctions. Such
misleading information amounts to repudiation of the completeness of
the Qur`aanic message and Islam as a complete code. When Muslims
state that Allaah Subhaanahu wa Ta`aala says this and that,  it has
to be according to the Holy Qur`aan, not one word more and not one
word less. If it's not in the Qur`aan then by doing so, we are:
  1.. ascribing something falsely to Allaah;
  2.. changing or altering the religion of Allaah;
3.. denying what He has confirmed or
4.. confirming what He has denied,
5.. affirming something declaring false or
6.. declaring something false as true, and it also includes
7.. supporting something that Allaah dislikes or opposes, and
8.. liking something that Allaah dislikes.
So it is one of the greatest sins, as every bid`ah, every
innovation,  is based on some statement that has no support from the
Qur`aan and Sunnah.  In other words every bid`ah also is based on
some statement which is actually made without `ilm. Allaah
Subhaanahu wa Ta'aala says (interpretation of the meaning):

"Who can be more wicked then one who invents a lie against Allaah
….." (al-Anam 6:93)
"And indeed, there is among them a party who alters, who distort the
Book with their tongues: (As they read) you would think it is a part
of the Book, but it is no part of the Book; and they say, "That is
from Allaah," but it is not from Allaah. It is they who tell a lie
against Allaah, and (well) they know it!  ('Aal-Imran 3:78)

I would like to share with you a response (attached below) which I
made to a brother who posted an article last year entitled: Allah
said, "If you are ashamed of me, I will be ashamed of you."

In shaa`Allaah after reading all this, let us be careful not to say
or write "Allaah said ..." or "What if ..." unless it is an exact
quote from the Holy Qur'aan.

Wa aakhir da`waani A`nilhamdulilaahi Rabbil A`lameen.

A Brother sent the following:

Allah  said, "If you are ashamed of me, I will be ashamed of
you."
If you are not ashamed, send this message...only if you
believe.

"Yes, I love Allah. Allah is my fountain of Life and My
Savior. Allah keeps me going day and night.

Without Allah, I am no one. But with Allah, I can do
everything. Allah is my strength."

This is a simple test. If you love Allah and you are not
ashamed of all the great things that he has done for you, send this
to everyone you know, and the person that sent it to you.
May Allah help u to succeed...Ameen

Assalaamu `Alaykum wa Rahmatullaahi wa Barakaatuhu

Dear Brother xxxxxx  and all those who have forwarded the above
email,

I pray that this communique finds you well and in strength of eemaan.

May Allaah Subhaanahu wa Ta'aala bless you for the efforts you are
making to fulfill the duty of teaching our Muslim brothers and
sisters by forwarding many dawah information about Islam.

However, this particular email you forwarded concerned me vis-à-vis
its authencity as I have never come across this statement:  Allah
said, "If you are ashamed of me, I will be ashamed of you." in all
my Islamic studies.

By posting information which states: "Allah said" any Muslim who
writes, says, thinks or forwards an email such as this one << Allah
said, "If you are ashamed of me, I will be ashamed of you" >> should
be asked to provide the daleel (evidence) and (s)he is obliged to
respond and not keep silent. All of us make mistakes and by
explaining/admitting/acknowledging and seeking the forgiveness and
guidance from Allaah Ta'aala shuts the door on the waswaas
(whisperings) of the accursed  Shaytaan - wa a'oodhu billaahi minhum.
Our worship includes the pursuit of  knowledge. As slaves of Allaah
Subhaanahu wa Ta'aala, we must know Allaah's Commandments for every
action we perform. Narrated by Abdullah bin Amr: I heard the
Prophet  Sall Allaahu alayhi wa salaam) say,

"Allaah does not remove the 'Ilm after it was given to you, rather
the 'Ilm would be removed with the death of the Ulema. Then some
people, who are ignorant, will start giving their Ra'ee based on
their desires and they are misled and will lead the Ummah astray."

(Bukhaaree & Ahmad)

For Muslims to avoid the consequence of this hadeeth, they must
provide the daleel before forwarding any and every quotation from
Allaah Subhaanahu wa Ta'aala and His Prophet Sall Allaah `alayhi wa
sallam.

One of the important causes of Muslims deterioration is the lack of
knowledge of even the simple and basic laws of Islam. Even those who
have read books of collections of Ahaadeeth and have studied the
Qur`aan extensively are ignorant of many fundamental Aqaid {canons}
of Islam. The belief of Ahl al-Sunnah wa'l-Jamaa`ah is that the Holy
Qur`aan is the Word of Allaah Ta`alaa which was revealed, not
created - it began from Him and will return to Him.
What we Muslims are obliged to believe is that which has come to us
from Allaah Subhaanahu wa Ta`aala, and that which the Messenger of
Allaah Sall Allahu `alayhi wa sallam had told us. Allaah Ta`aala has
told us (interpretation of the meaning):

"And who is truer in statement than Allaha? (An-Nisaa` 4:87)

"and whose words can be truer than those of Allaah? (An-Nisaa`
4:122)

These two (2) aayaat offer proof that Allaah's Words are true, and
there is no kind of lie in them at all.

My reason for writing to you and others who have forwarded this
email is to be careful not to distribute material and/or quotes
about/from Allaah Ta`aala, (as well as the Prophet Sall Allaahu
`alayhi wa sallam or his Companions) unless accompanied with clear
reference (daleel) of its sources.

The following is an excerpt from the article
entitled: "Verification"
http://www.sunnahonline.com/ilm/istiqaamah/nov1996_d.htm:
Quote: Imaam Muslim related in the introduction to his Saheeh (no.
5):

Aboo Hurayrah (radiyallaahu `anhu) states that the Prophet
(sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam) said: `"It is enough to render a man
a liar that he relates everything he hears."

Shaykh `Alee Hasan al-Halabee said:

``The daa`ee (caller) must be careful in everything, particularly in
regards to what he hears from people, or what he reads in books.  So
it is an obligation upon him to check and verify everything which
reaches his ears or eyes, before spreading it and circulating it
amongst the people.  His carefulness will be increased with regards
to two cases:

Firstly: When what is being conveyed to him is connected to the
Religion and the Sharee'ah, such as something being quoted as a
hadeeth, or a fiqh ruling, and its like.

Secondly: If someone reports something bad about a person, or an
evil word from someone.  He must check its correctness, carefully
find out the reality and what is correct, and not hasten to transmit
it and add it to the stream of news!'' (Source: Arba'oon Hadeethan
fid-Da`wah wad-Du'aat p. 63) - unquote.

      ================

Let me also share with you the Majmoo' Fataawa wa Rasaa'il
Fadeelat, vol. 1, p. 32-33  by al-Shaykh Muhammad ibn Saalih al-
`Uthaymeen (may Allah have mercy on him),
http://63.175.194.25/index.php?
ln=eng&ds=qa&lv=browse&QR=10817&dgn=4  which states: - quote:
"It is not permissible to obtain any of the previous
scriptures which came before the Qur`aan, such as the Injeel (Gospel
or New Testament), Tawraat (Torah or Old Testament) and others, for
two reasons.

The first reason is that anything in them that is beneficial
has been explained by Allaah in the Qur`aan.

The second reason is that the Qur`aan frees us from any need
for these books. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

"It is He Who has sent down the Book (the Qur`aan) to you
(Muhammad) with truth, confirming what came before it"
(Aal `Imraan 3:3)

"And We have sent down to you (O Muhammad) the Book (this
Qur`aan) in truth, confirming the Scripture that came before it and
Mohaymin (trustworthy in highness and a witness) over it (old
Scriptures). So judge among them by what Allaah has revealed ."  (al-
Maa'idah 5:48)

So whatever good may be in the previous books is to be found
in the Qur`aan.

With regard to the questioner's statement that he wants to
find out what Allaah said to His slave and Messenger `Eesa,
`alayhissalaam this information is to be found in what Allaah has
told us in the Qur`aan. So there is no need to look elsewhere.
Moreover, the Injeel (Gospel) that is extant today is distorted. The
evidence for that is the fact that there are four Gospels which
contradict one another; there is no one Gospel which can be relied
upon.

But the seeker of knowledge who has sufficient knowledge to be
able to tell truth from falsehood, may be allowed to read (the
previous scriptures) in order to refute the falsehood found therein
or to leave the followers of the scriptures with no excuse for not
knowing that they are false. - unquote.

We Muslims must be vigilant and not let ourselves be fooled
and fall into the traps which the Shaytaan gleefully sets for us
through his disciples whose agenda is to mock and harm Islam by
inventing such falsehood and worse of all making Muslims their tools
to spread their evil!!! May Allaah Subhaanahu wa Ta`aala forgive us
for our ignorance and lack of knowledge by unknowingly forwarding
this falsehood. If we repent sincerely, Allaah Subhaanahu wa Ta'aala
will forgive us if we did not know what we did was wrong for He
Ta`aala is All Merciful and Oft-Forgiving.

And we must never forget that there were groups that would
change the Words of Allaah Subhaanahu wa Ta`aala (and they are still
doing it to this day) - adding something here, deleting there,  - to
pound the truth and keep the 'flock' in servitude to what they
desired. Allaah Subhaanahu wa Ta'aala says (the interpretation of
the meaning):

"And indeed, there is among them a party who alters, who
distort the Book with their tongues: (As they read) you would think
it is a part of the Book, but it is no part of the Book; and they
say, "That is from Allah," but it is not from Allah. It is they who
tell a lie against Allah, and (well) they know it!  ('Aali-Imraan
3:78)

But remember that Allaah Subhaanahu wa Ta`aala has promised to
always preserve His Book as He Ta`aala tells us (the interpretation
of the meaning):

      "We have, without doubt, sent down the Message (the Qur'an);
and We will assuredly guard it (from corruption)." (al-Hijr 15:9)

Brother xxxxx and others, I have provided you all these
details for the following reasons:
a.. To show that the origin of this statement and the
attached note is Christian. Either some non-Muslims or Muslims have
just inserted Allaah and started sending it.
b.. It is great sin to say "Allaah said" unless it is an
exact quote from the Qur`aan.
c.. The Holy Qur`aan and Hadeeth and Islamic literature have
the most beautiful teachings and sayings, so if we want to publish
or post good things, we should pick them from reliable Islamic
sources.
May Allaah Subhaanahu wa Ta`aala bless you for your good
intentions, though misguided and may Allaah guide you to use your
time and energies for good Islamic work and may Allaah Ta'ala accept
your Islamic efforts.

We ask Allaah Subhaanahu wa Ta`aala to put the affairs of the
Muslims right, and to guide those who have gone astray, for He is
All-Hearing and Ever Near. And may Allaah save us all from His
Displeasure and Wrath and instill within us strength of eemaan and
conviction for the teachings of the Qur`aan and Sunnah. Aameen.

      Fee Amaanillaah,
      Your sister,
      K a r i m a
