Melaka

It has been more than 2 months now. Life here in GH Melaka as a housement, posted in ortho is not so bad. Some said rugi sbb ortho is such a relaxed n laid back posting. But i see the opposite. At least boleh start slowly. Get my self familiar with the system. Rather than terus start ngan super buzy posting n get depressed! ;) owh n the best thing is, i get to have time to prepare for my wedding! ;)

Ortho department in GH Melaka is like a one big happy family. The specialist n M.Os n fellow housement adalah sangat2 ramah n been very helpful. N currently hospital nie mengalami kebanjiran H.Os... So kinda kena berkerja keras sket nak buat the procedures n fill up the log book. Just imagine, dah 2 bulan di ortho, saya belom berkesempatan nak buat refashioning fingers lagi! hehe. Okey, maybe that sounds too awful. But the point is, ramai sgt H.Os... sampai in one ward yg max 30-35 patients ada 9 H.Os. So basically sorang jaga 3-4 patients sahaja. No wonder the bosses are mad when we dont know our patient well! Hehe. N the worst is, bila ada yg M.I.A. huhuhu.

Ape2 pon, im enjoying my work here. It feels good when i know they are feeling better. N kadang2 terharu juga tgk gelagat patients nie. Like one of the patients yg i was in charge of ni, tangan kiri kanan kene pasang 'above elbow POP' (read: simen) due to bilateral fatcture of distal end radia/ulnar. After my morning rounds b4 specialist round, diorg nye bfast time. Then my other patient nie tangan kiri nye je kene simen.. Dgn baik hati dia tlg suapkan this other patient yg tangannye kiri kanan bersimen. So i asked him 'Awak berdua nie mmg kawan ke?' Then yg menyuapkan nie jawab 'Tak lah.. kenal kat wad nie.. Saja tlg dia nie nak makan.. Mak dia tak sampai lagi...' N all i can do is smile. Terharu tgk diorg berdua. Mcm best friends tho baru sehari kenal.. :)

Itu tak masuk geng2 'paralimpik' when i was in the other ward last month. Kebetulan dlm ward tu ada dekat 5 anak2 muda lelaki (aged: 18-26y/o) admitted mostly sbb patah kaki. So ramailah yg berkerusi roda. Then selalu, lepas ward round nnt diorg ramai2 jalan ngan kerusi roda menziarah antara satu sama lain... Bagus budak2 nie.. Bila ada je lg budak2 sebaya yg admitted, diorg sure gie melawat n make them feel at 'home'.

So, so far.. masih ok. ;) Im still loving my work. hehehe. Wait till i get to surgical posting. hikhik.
