mawi??

last night i was doing the night-call@night-duty at the NNW (neonatal ward).

so, after seeing the pre-term babies in the other cubicles, i went to the neonatal jaundice cubicle. there in the room was the parents of one of the baby. not sure what they were doing as they were facing the opposite site. nursing ke.. changing the nappy ke.. so, me n sab was clerking the ticket. biasalah, neonate mane bleh bg history, so their ticket laa the source of history. i wanted to check on this one baby yg ade hydrocephalus [accumulation of fluid in the cavities of the brain, causing enlargement of the head in children] with enchepalocele. [this is a variant of the neural tube defect, in which a part of the brain has extrude through the skull defect. so mothers n those yg planned to be mothers, do take your folic acid supplement ye. folic acid IS proven to prevent neural tube defect. =)]

so, as i was reading his progress, tiba2 that parents approach us from behind, 'tumpang tanye, toilet kat mane ye?'

n so i turn, pastu macam tergamam kejap. *apsal the dad rupa mcm mawi???* hehe. terus mcm lupa apa dia tanye. haha. n dah laa that night was our first night at that ward. n we usually use the staff toilet. so, how do i know?!. n the dad gelak je tgk kitorg mcm blur2 tak tau where's the visitors toilet. at last sab suggested that there might be a toilet along the corridor outside the ward.

haha. lawak btol. though im not a mawi fan, tp mcm terkejut jugak laa kan. owh btw, the dad WAS NOT MAWI YE. pelanduk dua serupa je.

okie then, nak finish off prematurity n its related problem. then read on neural tube defect pula.
