TEN TIPS FOR BETTER HEALTH (Donaldson, 1999)
1. Dont smoke! If u can, stop. if u cant, cut down!! (couldnt agree more. complications from cigarretes smoking are too nasty!)
2. Follow a BALANCED DIET with plenty of fruits n vegetables.. (yeah.. more fibres, vitamins, antioxidants...)
3. Keep physically active! (if u cant make it to the gym or park, why not take the stairs instead if elevator or escalator.. park ur car a bit farther so that u can walk..)
4. Manage stress by, for example, talking things thru n making time to relax. (yup. talk it out. if u cant tell to another human person, talk to ur self, or pet or plant. but the down point is just that they cant really share some opinions. hehe.)
5. Cover up in the sun. n protect ur children from sun burn. (yeah.. protect urself from the nasty uv rays.. our ozone layer is getting thinner. wear sun block yah.)
6. If u drink alchohol, do so in moderation. (hurmm... yeah.. tho there're study saying that moderate intake of alchohol might protect us from cardiac diseases, but as muslim we shud always remember our limit. wut is prohibited IS prohibited.)
7. Practise safer sex.
8. Take up cancer screening opportunities. (why not rite..?)
9. Be safe on the roads.
10. Learn the First Aid ABC ~ airway, breathing, circulation. (one two thousand, two two thousand, three two thousand.....!)
